The Decision Matrix — Book Brief

HOW TO MAKE DECISIONS THAT DESIGN THE LIFE YOU WANT

EXPLORE

Our lives are shaped not only by major turning points but by accumulated decisions.

Some decisions are straightforward. Others involve competing values, uncertain consequences, relationships, opportunities, responsibilities and risks.

The Decision Matrix occupies Vita Designata's specialised decision-making and discernment territory.

Its central invitation is to move beyond simply asking:

“What should I choose?”

and also ask:

“What kind of life might this choice help me create?”

CONSIDER

A decision has context.

The same option can mean different things depending on your values, circumstances and intended direction.

Every choice has consequences.

Choosing something often means declining, postponing or changing something else.

Agency matters.

Not deciding can itself become a decision when circumstances move forward without us.

REFLECT

Think about one decision currently facing you.

• What am I really deciding?

• Which values matter most in this decision?

• Which option appears most consistent with the life I want to design?

You do not have to answer immediately.

Sometimes defining the real decision is the beginning of making it well.
